DISCOVERY & DEFINITION
We start by fully understanding your product idea or existing proposition. This includes identifying the target customer, risk appetite, and commercial objectives. The aim is to capture the product vision clearly so everyone is aligned before moving into design.
MARKET & CAPACITY
Next, we assess market demand, competitor offerings, and potential distribution opportunities. We identify carriers that could provide capacity and ensure the proposition is commercially viable. This step refines the product concept to make sure it’s realistically deliverable and competitive.
PRODUCT DESIGN
We then define the product in detail, including cover, exclusions, rating structures, underwriting rules, and compliance requirements. The end-to-end journey is mapped out from quote through to bind, policy issuance, mid-term adjustments and claims. The design prioritises a seamless customer and broker experience.
SYSTEMS & TOOLS
Here we design how the product will be delivered digitally. This includes mapping platforms, portals, APIs, and integrations, and selecting the tools needed to support the product. We prototype rating and workflows at this stage to validate functionality before developer build.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
We translate the product design into precise technical specifications. This includes detailed documentation of rules, rating logic, and workflows, ensuring developers have everything they need to build the product accurately. The goal is to bridge the gap between concept and system implementation.
BUILD & IMPLEMENTATION
We work closely with development or platform teams to configure the product. This includes testing rating, rules, and workflows, validating usability for brokers, underwriters, and customers, and ensuring compliance is fully addressed. We oversee delivery to make sure everything works as intended.
LAUNCH & DISTRIBUTION
Once tested and approved, we help roll out the product across chosen distribution channels, whether that’s brokers, aggregators, or direct-to-consumer platforms. We provide stakeholder training and ensure carrier approval and compliance sign-off. This ensures the product launches smoothly and efficiently.
ONGOING OPTIMISATION
After launch, we monitor product performance, tracking quote and bind ratios, uptake, and customer experience. Adjustments to rules or design are made where needed to optimise outcomes. The product remains competitive and aligned with the client’s overall strategy, providing a continuous cycle of improvement.
